If you ordered the 4 personalized pages to be included in your yearbook, the deadline to create and design the pages is Monday February 6. See Mrs. Greenwald if you have any questions.
Attention Seniors: Prom tickets will go on sale Tuesday, March 6th. Please listen and look for more details in the coming weeks. Only seniors are allowed to purchase tickets. Seniors may escort or be escorted by a GCHS student, or by a guest. Individual tickets will be sold as well. Freshmen are not allowed to attend the prom. Ticket prices for the 2011 prom are $45.00 for an individual ticket and $90.00 for a couple ticket. If you have any questions regarding prom and ticket sales please see Mrs. Ames.
Be sure to order your roses by Friday, February 3rd… The roses will be delivered to your valentine or friend during their study hall. Red roses are $3 and other colors are $2. You can order as many as you would like and you will also send a message with your roses! Order some for your friends or a dozen for your sweetie! Don’t want to send a rose? You can simply send a Valentine’s Day card for $1. See Mrs. Niepert in room 162. Hurry and get your orders in today!
Students may now get their Vocational Permits for next year’s classes from their Vocational Instructor. Permits for the Building Trades Class may be obtained from Mr. Boushard, Mr. Trower, or Mr. Mihalich.
Any questions concerning classes may be directed to any Vocational Teacher. Don’t delay getting your
permit early as the number available for each class are limited.
Hey Warriors, Don’t forget to turn in your Blood Drive forms this week to Mr. Puhse in room 141! We are trying to reach 300 donors: so save 3 lives and donate blood.
Attention Seniors: Applications for the Granite City Scholarship Foundation are now available in the Guidance Office. A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to several graduating senior boys and graduating senior girls. Application must be postmarked by April 16, 2012.
Attention writers and artists: The GCHS Young Authors Club is now accepting submissions for this year’s edition of The Student Voice. Submit your short stories, poems, essays, photographs, and artworks to Mr. Anderson in room 278. This is a great opportunity to see your creative works published.
Attention Foreign Language Club members! Today's meeting has been rescheduled for NEXT Wednesday, February 8th. We will meet after school in room 244. See you NEXT Wednesday after school in Ms. Reed's room!
A representative from the U.S. Army National Guard will be in the cafeteria during all lunch hours on Friday, February 3rd. If you are interested in a career in the National Guard stop by and speak with the representative at this time.
ALPHA Peer Leaders will meet on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:35 a.m. in the big study hall. Second semester classroom assignments will be determined at this meeting.
A representative from Lindenwood University @ Belleville will be in the cafeteria during all lunch hours on Monday, February 6th. If you are interested in attending Lindenwood, stop by and speak with the representative at this time.
Hey Warriors! Have you OR your parents ordered your 2012 Warrior Yearbook? Check the list on the bulletin board by entrance 1. Yearbook order forms are available in the folder next to the list. Reserve your copy of the yearbook for ONLY $10.00 and pay each month until May. Return all order forms to Mrs. Greenwald in room 163.
Student-Athletes, please remember to visit Core Course GPA to update your grades and see how close you are to playing a Division 1 or Division 2 sport. A link for the site can be found on our Guidance Department website. Check it out today.
